Questions

Before you book

Preguntas

Antes de reservar

What happens at a tasting?

You sit at one shared table in our wine store in Palermo while Eleonora, our sommelier, pours five Argentine wines and talks through where each one comes from and how to taste it. It comes with a cheese plate and sourdough bread, and runs about an hour.

Which tasting should I book?

Top Wines of Argentina, at 2:30 PM, pours nothing rated below 97 points — $100 USD per person. The Guided Tasting, at 4 PM or 6 PM, walks through small-production wines from across the country — $50 USD per person.

Is the tasting in English?

In English or in Spanish — you choose when you book. A guided seating runs in one language, so the calendar shows the hours still open in yours. Top Wines hosts both languages at the same table.

How does the deposit work?

A deposit of $10 USD per person ($20 for Top Wines) holds the seat online, and it is part of the price, not on top of it — the rest is paid on the day. An Argentine card pays in pesos through Mercado Pago; a card from anywhere else, or PayPal, pays in dollars.

Can I cancel or change the date?

Yes, from the link in your confirmation email. Cancel up to 48 hours before and the deposit is refunded automatically; you can also move to another date or time of the same tasting. Inside 48 hours, message us and we'll sort it out.

We're more than ten — can we come?

Each seating seats up to 10 guests in all, shared across reservations. For a bigger group, message us on WhatsApp.

I have an allergy or don't eat cheese.

Tell us when you book — the form asks — and we'll know before you arrive.

Can I buy the wines?

Yes — Pain et Vin is a wine store first. Everything poured at a tasting is on the shelf, among a few hundred bottles from small producers in Mendoza, Salta, Patagonia and the Valles Calchaquíes.

Where are you, and when?

Guatemala 4364, Palermo, Buenos Aires. The store is open Tuesday to Sunday, 2 PM to 8 PM, and closed on Mondays — come in for a bottle any time we're open; the tastings need a booking.

Guatemala 4364, Palermo, Buenos Aires.
